Stora Stöten Run is a fantastic running event in Falun, Dalarna, offering participants a unique experience in the World Heritage site of Falun. The course is largely shaped by human effort and follows trails, roads, lakes, ponds, canals, and ditches that have been excavated over the centuries. During the race, participants run past medieval smelting sites and beautiful mountain farmhouses in a distinctive Nordic landscape, providing a historical experience that dates back several hundred years.
